Our story began with the Lancaster Osteopathic Hospital (known as Community Hospital), founded in 1942. This was a teaching hospital for osteopathic medical residents, and trusted healthcare provider in Lancaster County. In 1999, Community hospital was sold. The hospital’s foundation was reborn as Lancaster Osteopathic Health Foundation (LOHF), placing its assets in an endowment to benefit Lancaster County in perpetuity. This endowment, and the generosity of donors, support our work to elevate mental well-being of youth and children in Lancaster County.
