Who We Are

Mission

The Lancaster Osteopathic Health Foundation improves public health and well-being in Lancaster County by focusing on two intersecting goals: strengthening the capacity of the health care professional community, and improving children’s behavioral health services.

Through grants and scholarships, we advance mental wellness of children and youth in Lancaster County by facilitating access, education and coordination of resources.

Vision

All children and youth in Lancaster County experience mental well-being.

History

Our roots trace back to the Lancaster Osteopathic Hospital that was founded in 1942. The Community Hospital, as it was known, served as a foundation and trusted teaching facility for osteopathic medical residents. In 1999, the hospital was sold to Health Management Associates and the former hospital foundation was reborn as the Lancaster Osteopathic Health Foundation (LOHF).

We achieve this by providing medical professionals, educators, parents and others with the resources they need to be successful.
